Empowering AI Driven Optical Interconnection|Xingte Features Dual Lens Automatic Coupling Machine at IFOC 2026.

On September 7, the 24th Infostone Optical Communication Conference (IFOC 2026) kicked off at InterContinental Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. As a highprofile industry event for the opticalcommunications sector, the conference adopted the theme “Light Powers Intelligent Computing, Connecting the Future — Opportunities and CompetitionCooperation in the OpticalCommunication 3.0 IntelligentComputing Era”. It focused on hottrack topics including AIcomputingdriven optical interconnection, advanced optoelectronic packaging, ultrahighspeed optical modules and computingnetwork convergence, gathering more than 3,000 industry elites to explore new industrial opportunities.Xingte Technology, a nationallevel Key Specialized and Innovative “Little Giant” enterprise and local tech firm based in Bao’an District, exhibited its selfdeveloped dualLens automatic coupling machine. General Manager Xie Mingping was interviewed by event host Infostone, sharing innovative practices and industry insights for domestic highend opticalcommunication equipment.

Driven by the AIcomputing boom, the opticalcommunications industry has entered the OpticalCommunication 3.0 era. 800G optical modules have achieved mass production, while 1.6T products are accelerating toward commercial deployment. Optoelectronic packaging is rapidly evolving toward higher precision, higher efficiency, higher integration and lower costs. The coupling process for optical devices directly determines the yield and production cycle of highspeed optical modules. The coexistence of multiple technical routes imposes stricter requirements on the compatibility and stability of automated production equipment. Independent substitution of highend equipment has become a critical topic across the industrial chain.

At the exhibition, Xingte’s dualLens automatic coupling machine supports both Lens and FA mainstream coupling processes on one single unit. It covers fullrange highspeed opticalmodule production from 400G to 1.6T and adapts to mainstream packaging forms such as COB, BOX and optical engines. Singlemode and multimode optical devices can be flexibly manufactured on the same line, effectively resolving massproduction painpoints caused by difficult multiprocess switching.

Equipped with Xingte’s fullstack inhouse visualinspection system and intelligent coupling algorithms, paired with a nanometergrade precision motion platform, the machine completes fullprocess automatic operations: component endface inspection, opticalpath peaksearching, precise alignment, automatic locking, dispensing and UV curing. It delivers positioning accuracy of ±50 nm. Deep hardwaresoftware synergy guarantees consistent opticalpath alignment in massvolume manufacturing. A closedloop processcontrol system enables comprehensive supervision of key parameters such as adhesivelayer thickness, flatness and return loss to secure massproduction yield. Freelyeditable process logic supports customized development per client requirements, greatly shortening productionline introduction cycles and helping manufacturers cut costs and raise efficiency.

“We do not merely sell equipment to customers; we deliver integrated ‘equipment + process’ massproduction solutions,” said Xie Mingping, General Manager of Xingte Technology during the interview. Rooted in Bao’an, Xingte focuses on precisionautomation equipment and masters underlying core technologies including nanometergrade motion platforms, machine vision and coupling algorithms. Product R&D is oriented toward realworld productionline painpoints. Through indepth codevelopment with leading opticalmodule manufacturers, yield fluctuation and changeover debugging challenges encountered in massproduction are addressed at the productdesign stage, ensuring stable operation right after equipment commissioning. The company also provides fulllifecycle services including presales process evaluation, onsite commissioning support and continuouslyiterated process packages, boosting the independent controllability of the domestic opticalcommunications industrial and supply chain.

Talking about industry trends, Xie commented that AI keeps accelerating technical iteration within optical communications. Multiple technical paths including pluggable optics, NPO and CPO are advancing in parallel. The core industry challenge has shifted from “successful labbased R&D” to “stable largescale manufacturing”. Expectations for domestic equipment have risen from “usable” to “reliable, highperforming and onpar with imports”. In the short term, Xingte will keep optimizing couplingmachine products to support mass manufacturing of 400G1.6T highspeed optical devices. In the mediumtolong run, the company will conduct preresearch on cuttingedge directions such as optical engines and CPO, expand automated equipment for key optoelectronicpackaging procedures, and work with industrialchain partners to consolidate the manufacturing foundation for optical interconnection in the intelligentcomputing era.

As a nationallevel Key Specialized and Innovative “Little Giant” enterprise, Xingte leverages the advancedmanufacturing ecosystem of Shenzhen’s Bao’an District to push forward domestic substitution for precisionautomation equipment. Its products serve multiple highend manufacturing sectors including optical communications and precision motors, empowering transformation and upgrading of domestic manufacturing via proprietary technologies. Throughout IFOC 2026, Xingte held technical exchanges with industry peers at its booth to explore cooperation on massproduction equipment and customized processes.
